Olivia Lagoy-Weltz is originally from Northern California, growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area and first beginning to ride at the age of five. She started as most children do, riding in the Hunters, but then began to compete in an Eventing and Dressage barn when she was seven. She was an active and successful competitor throughout her junior years on both the Dressage and Eventing circuit.
At the age of 18 Olivia moved to Europe to persue a serious education in Dressage. She worked for Egbert Kraak at De Creaken Stables in Holland for three years, during this time she became his head rider, competing sale horses and managing all aspects of his facility. In addition she spent two years in Germany working and riding for Udo Lange and Christilot Hanson Boylen, Ula Salzgaber and Ernst Hoyos.
After five years in Europe, Olivia returned to the Bay Area and became the head Dressage Trainer at a 55-horse facility in the East Bay. There she developed her own training business and worked with horses and riders of all levels while developing her own two FEI horses.
In 2009, at the request of Egbert Kraak, Olivia went to work for Kathy Priest at Woodspring Farm located in Versailles KY. Here Olivia began training and competing imported sales and client horses while continuing to develop and compete her own horses at the FEI levels. Her daily riding surface is Clopf® fiber.

As a young rider Olivia has proven herself a well educated & talented competitor. Olivia focuses on bringing talented horses to the FEI levels in a way that produces not only top performing competition horses, but happy healthy horses as well. Her daily riding surface is Clopf® fiber.
We at Martin Collins are very proud of Olivia’s recent achievements & also appreciate her endorsement of our training surfaces!“It’s a great surface both from a training and maintenance standpoint. The surface moves very little thus requiring little raking of the edges around the ring. My horses have performed quite well on the surface and have remained injury free while training at the FEI levels on it daily at Kathy Priest’s Woodspring Farm in Versaille, Ky. I’ve also trained on the surface at Tuny’s Still Point Farm in Wellington, Fl. I very much like the waxed footing (MC Ecotrack®) that she has in her indoor, as you don’t even hear the horse’s footfall!”
